S 4/5/6

27th April onward

Pupils who are currently in S4/5/6 will have work set as outlined below. Pupils will need to know when they had specific subjects in columns so staff have been asked to change the names of Microsoft Teams to reflect this.

Further information:

  1. Once you have completed the course you do not need to complete new work for that course. Pupils can then use the time to undertake other learning tasks based on their course selection for the following year.

  2. Channels will be created in the whole school team for pupils to undertake pre course preparations. This may be in the form of reading, online tasks or other relevant tasks. There is NO expectation on staff that this work is marked and this is optional, but advised. It is a great opportunity to get a head start on next years subjects.

  3. If you have any questions please contact your Pastoral care teacher in the first instance (details are in the pupil support page of this website).

Please note: We are still not in a position to inform pupils of their subject choice allocation for the 2020-21 academic year. Whilst we endeavour to ensure pupils obtain the subjects they have chosen, this is not always possible. Please keep this in mind when undertaking pre-course engagement tasks.

EXAMPLE:
1. If a pupil has completed their course in columns A/B/C then staff can continue to provide work up to, and not beyond 11/05/2020 for D/E. This means that whenever they previously had A/B/C they can use that time to engage with the ‘Pre course engagement’ tasks.

As follows:

The table below shows the usual times of the week the classes would have normally been. For example - Column B for S4/5/6 was a Monday p1-2. This may help you to know when work may be set.
