Languages for Work & Culture
SCQF LEVEL 3 & 4
This is a flexible course. The languages studied will be decided by the pupils. Options will be French, German and Spanish and they will be studied at the level best suited to their needs (likely to be National 3 or 4). We also hope to give pupils the opportunity to work remotely with the University of Strathclyde on a unit of work in Mandarin.
QUALIFICATION
This will vary for each pupil but are likely to include National 3 in more than one language, the Modern Languages for life and work award at SCQF Level 4 and National 4 units.
DURATION
1 Year
COURSEWORK
Each pupil will sit units at the level best suited to them. The units will be assessed throughout the year in class and by the teacher.

There is no exam.

WHY TAKE THIS COURSE?
This course will allow you to continue studying a language at a level which best suits you. The course will be very flexible and will aim to get you as wide a range of qualifications as possible.
Studying French, German and Spanish will improve your English and make travel more fun.
Working remotely with a university will also develop your digital skills, organisation and communication which wil be important for your future careers.
