Higher biology offers pupils a range of biological topics ranging from cells and molecular biology to learning about interactions between organisms and animal behaviour. This is suited to pupils who have an interest in biology and enjoy environmental topics in addition to cellular topics or want a more general biology course compared with higher human.

3 units of work which cover a breadth of topics that appeal to many interests and potential biological courses in higher education. The course offers lots of practical work allowing pupils to learn through experiments and develop problem solving skills. The units of work include cells and molecular biology, metabolism and survival of organisms and sustainability and interdependence. There are several opportunities for fieldtrips and excursions to University labs throughout the course.
